Welcome to First Presbyterian Church!

As Disciples of Christ,
First Presbyterian Church exists:
to let people know that they matter to God,
by showing them that they matter to us,
in order that they may let others matter to them.

Please feel free to join us, contact us or visit our church. We serve the entire Michiana community and have been since 1834!

Malawi Solar Project

Our FPC Mission Committee is planning a 2 week mission work project for this summer 2014 in Chibanzi, Malawi—an area where there is no electrical service. The project involves installing solar panels on 5 differ- ent buildings: the Nursery School and Kitchen/Dining buildings, Manse, Church Building, and Women’s Building. New Children’s Program

Godly Play is a curriculum modeled after the Montessori schools that are gaining in popularity around the country. Its focus is to teach children using a hands-on approach. The children will have the opportunity to hear a story, and then manipulate the materials used for the lesson on their own. They get to learn while they play! Once the story is learned, the children will then have the opportunity to make a piece of art that reflects their understanding of that story. The new class for age groups PK- 1st begins at 9:15 am in room 220 upstairs in the children’s wing. Come be a part of it!
