The edgy billboard campaign featuring First Presbyterian Church South Bend won Best of Show in the 2012 ADDY Advertising competition at a gala event recently at Pfeil Innovation Center in South Bend. The competition is sponsored by AAF Michiana, the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation.

Most services of worship at First Presbyterian Church include the preaching of a sermon, usually by the Senior Pastor. You can find a printed copy of the Sunday sermon in the narthex or the church office.

Godly Play is a curriculum modeled after the Montessori schools that are gaining in popularity around the country. Its focus is to teach children using a hands-on approach. The children will have the opportunity to hear a story, and then manipulate the materials used for the lesson on their own. They get to learn while they play! Once the story is learned, the children will then have the opportunity to make a piece of art that reflects their understanding of that story. The new class for age groups PK- 1st begins at 9:15 am in room 220 upstairs in the children’s wing. Come be a part of it!
